I WOKE UP SCARED

Darkness was scattered in huge patches

Making it difficult for light to  pass.

I couldn’t see but I was drenched

As something was running down my back.

My throat was dry, lips were chapped

I needed a drop of water or I would drop dead.

Someone held my hand, someone familiar.

I looked at my hands it was smeared with blood.

Blood that ran down my back.

You stabbed at my back

And now you are holding my hand.

I couldn’t imagine you as a traitor,

It tore my heart apart.

The pain was unbearable

And I woke up scared.
